Find Ancestors

I have been trying to find my father for a long time now and I am at my wits end. I don't know what to do now.
All I have is his name (the mos common in the world!)
and his date of birth.

David Anthony Williams, AKA Tony 23/08/1950
He has 2 brothers, Kenneth and Alan and a sister Margaret.
His father's name was John Price Williams and his mother's name was Cathleen. He lived in Bridgend with my mother around 1980 and he left my half brother's mother for my mother. I am not going to mention my half brother's name or family as I havn't asked for their permission.

I am 22 and have 2 older brother. Richard and Jonathan.
My mother's name is Petula May. She was married to my father until he left when I was about 3 to go and work in Roterdam.

I have seem official looking documents in Dutch that say that he left Rotterdam and for Britain and returned in the month of April 1996.

My mother tells me that he is a very charismatic person who was the life and sole of any party.

This is all I know and I would really like to find him but I don't know what to do. If anybody can help with ANYTHING I will be very very grateful.
