In 1881 he says born 1853, Lambeth, Surrey. He has father-in-law John Grocutt living with them. |

Yes, I noticed that. Presume this is from the 1891 census? I couldn't see the name Grossett - Sarah's father lived with them, and he is down as John Growcut, father in law. Maybe the spelling was incorrect! |

A bit worried about that 1891 entry as someone had added a name correction to Sarah to read Grossett. |

Because I looked for his wedding entry, as unsure of her name. My father confirmed her name as Grocock. I need to order his marriage certificate and have the entry number etc., to do so. |

I'm trying to trace my Great Grandfather, James Williams born 1853. From the 1861 census, there are 2 entries. One says born at Birmingham (don't think this is him), and the other says Born At Sea. However, when downoaded census it states 'Williams ommitted'. Can anyone help me? |
