Angel St., Northampton
Joseph Page, head, 61, sarg't militia staff
Ann, wife, 62, shoe binder
*Joseph, grandson, 3
All born Northampton.

I believe on the 1851 census the wife's name is Lucy A. and not Susay A. as they have transcribed it.

Christine

Christine Report 4 Jun 2008 00:01

the address that she is living at as a lodger is melbourne street, st andrews priory, northampton in the sub district of st giles.

Christine

Christine Report 3 Jun 2008 23:44

forgot to add, their address for 1851 was primrose cottage.

I have checked the 1851 census and think i have found Alexander Page living with a Susay A Page [thats what it said. it was hard to read, but the site have deciphered it as that!!] She too was born in northampton. their son joseph is not there, but his age on the other census may not have been completely accurate, hence he may not have actually been born yet-he may have been 10, bot 12 in 1861. i'll have another look for you now.

Joseph, son, 12, scholar, born Northampton
Harriet, dau, 8, scholar, born Earls Barton

Sorry, Elaine, I made a mistake again, According to the 1871 census she was born Earls Barton, Northamptonshire.
Also although her name was transcribed Paeg I think the original looks more like Page.

Christine

Christine Report 3 Jun 2008 23:19

is it definitely paeg or did you mean page?

She's just a lodger in 1871, with the family of Samuel & Sarah Fisher in Northampton. She's 18, a shoe fitter, born Northampton.

Sorry, Christine, didn't see your post before I posted.
