Benjamin J.A was 14 on the 1901 census making him 15 in 1902 when your mum was born

If he was 22/23 when your mum was born the family on the 1901 is not the right family as that Benjamin was born in 1887

Grandad also had a son called Bejamin, mum's brother. so I am assuming that could be the problem, because granad was born around 1880.

What i was trying to point out is

On the 1901 Benjamin is 14, but you say your mum was born 1902..which would make Benjamin 15 when you mum was born

Meant to be but mum, sorry for that.
Mum had a sister called Florence "Florrie" and Jane, who was a snob apparently.

Have you copy of your Grandparents Benjamin & Marys marriage,,,which may give fathers for both bride and groom,,,,

,then your Gt----Grandparents may be traceable from that,,,,,,,,
