I'm trying to find details about Bernard DaCosta is was my Great grandfather I know he Married Grace Serby (Serbey) early 1900's Sorry the information is sketchy. I do know that they used to live in Dalmain Rd Forest Hill, So that would come under Lewisham records.I would be grateful of any help.

Thank you all for your help! Its more than I could have ever imagined!.

Things are really sketchy on my dads side of the family. His father was fro Jersey and his mum (My nan) doesn't remember much (nearly 90)

This has to be the same person. I never would have imagined I had faimy from Australia!

Thank you all again so much!

Steve,

I realise this is an old thread but I'm hoping you're still active.

I'm currently working on what I believe to be Bernard's brother's tree; Reginald Alfred Cecil DaCosta also known as Billy. I have a lot of records for Bernard attached to my tree on ancestry. His mother was Margaret Lynam/Lineham. He was born in Brisbane Australia along with his sister Ann (Annie) DaCosta. His father was Henry'Harry Da Costa. He had another brother called Richard James DaCosta.

I'm also speaking with his other brother's descendant; she's the daughter of Rae Marie Edge, who's the daughter of Richard James DaCosta. She is also trying to trace this DaCosta line.

It gets very complicated! Needless to say Bernard's mother was Irish; his father Jewish!

Dalmain Road is where my ancestors lived.

Could you please contact me so we can compare notes?

Hope you're still around.
