Ernie Hamilton, musician (drummer?), with Elite quartet in Nottingham 1927. Met Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Hootton (nee Nicholson) when she was in the chorus of a production of “White Horse Inn” at Nottingham Playhouse(?). Last known location for Ernie was Southend, Essex, in the 1950s. Believed to be running a music shop.

Ernie & Betty had a son, Roderick, born January 1928. Betty, aged 24, was already married with a daughter, Muriel. Ernie had an unmarried Aunt Sylvie, dressmaker, who lived in north London. (Slight suspicion she may not have been Aunt, but Mother.)

Roderick, now aged 80, and his children, are interested in the family background. If the foregoing rings bells with anyone, and it does not disturb any subsequent members of Ernie’s family, information would be very gratefully received.
