Irish farm

My great grandfather, Thomas Speir or Spier, was born in Ireland about 1864. Family stories say he was born in Armagh or Omagh. I have his marriage certificate but can't find his birth. He was married to Margaret Catherine Brock in Fermanagh and they moved to Liverpool where my grandfather, Thomas James Spiers, was born. The family story says that my grandfather was to be left a farm in Ireland but the youngest of his three sons (my Dad's brother) wouldn't go to live in Ireland so the farm was forfeited.

Does anyone know how I can find information about where this farm was and if, in fact, the story is true.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.
Yvonne
