Has anyone got this man in their tree.? Here he is in 1841 but cannot find him after this.

He is not buried in the family plot so gather he probably would not have died within the next 10 years. Where did he go to? Many family members ended up as engineers/marine engineers ..2 of which emigrated to Australia/NZ We have a photo of unknown man...family resemblance...taken in New York?.
