I am trying to track down the parents of my 5th great grandfather.

The information I have is as follows:

Born around 1720 but not certain on location although probably in Sussex / Kent area.

Married Ann Clear on 1st May 1740 at Telscombe, Sussex.

Had 6 children - George 1755, Adam 1758, Ann 1741, William 1742, John 1745, Sarah 1752.

Died 23 March 1784.

All the information I have is that the family lived throughout this period in Southease village, East Sussex.

I am at a complete dead end - no record of his baptism, no details in the marriage, there was a head stone but inscription not recorded.

Any information about his birth and parents would be greatly received.

Fingers crossed!
