Can anyone point me in the right direction. As family stories go, my great grandfather, Thomas Spier, was born in either Omagh or Armagh about 1864 and came to Liverpool where my grandfather, Thomas James Spiers, was born and had 3 children (all boys). The story goes that my grandfather was left a farm in Ireland but the youngest of the 3 boys wouldn't go to live in Ireland so the farm was ???? Does anyone know how I can find any info about where this farm was in the hope it will help me trace my family further back. I have my great grandfather's marriage certificate but haven't been able to find his birth. He married Margaret Catherine Brock in Fermanagh. |
