Please can you find Noah Rowe on the 1891 census. He was born in Cardiff. He would be living somewhere in Cardiff or Newport area of Wales I think. |

The good news Vera is that the census you have found are the correct family. Thank you. I wonder where he was then in 1891. Hiding no doubt. |

No Idea Vera. My family is the Chorley side. Until recently I could only guess Edith Chorley married Noah Rowe, then a lady contacted me and agreed with me on this. I am still waiting to hear from her to see if she has actually confirmed the marriage or not. She has given me access to her tree but there is no specific dates so I do not know what information she has confirmed or whether it is all guess work. When I get round to it I will send for the cert unfortunately I have more important ones to get first. |

Thanks for that marriage info that will help me get the certificate. It could also explain why Vera couldn't find him on hte 1891 census. |

Could it be that Sarah in 1891 (aged 7) is a mistranscription of Noah? They would have been the same sort of age - and three of the other children lose a year in age between 1891 and 1901 so the age pattern fits ... if you can find Sarah in 1901 then this theory won't work but if not then it's a possibility. |
