OK, so the occupation on the cert matches that on the 1901 census, so it does seem to be the correct family..............posting 1901 purely for reference...... |

Reggie, Frederick's occupation on Charles' marriage cert was male attendant. Also noticed a few spelling mistakes in my last entry!!!! |

It seems too good a match not to be. I have Charles Crook as his son on 1901 which matches my marraige cert and professions match. |

To find Annie's maiden name, go to freebmd website and look for possible marriage............or buy the the birth cert of one of the children (more reliable). |

I have come to a standstill on a search and any help or advice would be great. I originally became stuck with my great grandfather (Charles Crook), but I managed to get his marriage certificate and from there find out who his father was (Frederick Crook). I am now stuck on Frederick. From the 1901 census I see that he was married to Annie (no idea of her maiden name) and that he was born c. 1872 in Exminster, Devon. I would love to find out who his parents were, if he had any brother or sisters and what Annie’s maiden name was. Frederick’s profession in 1901 census was listed as male attendant, anyone any idea what this is? |
