Member Since: October 2007 Posts: 3 Send Message	I am trying to find out what happened to an ancestor of mine. Simon Mills was born 25 April 1829 (his birth date may be incorrect) in Stradbroke. In the 1851 census he is listed as a journeyman shoemaker. He fought in the Crimean War (1854-56) and then emigrated to the USA in the late 1850's. His father was Simon Mills born 1795 and died 1869; his mother was Harriet Jeffries born 1802 and died 1852. Maybe a US member can help?
