Any of your ancestors have a "skeleton in the cupboard"? A Canadian serviceman in the First World War, probably a surgeon/doctor/medical personnel. Stationed in London in April 1917. He may have been killed by 1918.(Rumoured to have been lost at sea) He left behind an illegitimate son. The family in Canada at the time were aware of this and wanted to adopt but the family in England refused. If this story rings any bells I would be very pleased to hear from you.
