Hello, i am currently researching our family tree and have followed a paternal line through to Queens County, now known as Laois. There we have come to a deadend ! Any help would be very welcome.
We have a Patrick O'Neil born c1840 and a Mary {unknown} born 1842 both from Queens County, sorry i can't be more specific than that ! They had 9 children the first two who were also born in Queens County, they were Mary O'Neil 1865 and James O'Neil 1867. They then moved to County Durham in north east England in 1867, 1868 or 1869 as their third child Edward O'Neil is registered there as being born in 1869. The family worked generally in the coalmines around the Durham area. Thanks in anticipation of any help.
