I'm trying to find out about my great grandmother Eliza (surname unknown) who married William Smith. They lived in Hedingham and Halstead, Essex. She was born around 1870 and had 2 sons and 2 daughters. If anyone can help please contact me.

Names of the children may help and birth dates and areas of birth if you have them

Hi Jeanette. Thanks for reply re my great grandfather and grandmother i.e. William Smith and Eliza (surname unknown) Their children were Alfred (b. c1898); Walter (b c.1900, d c1985); Emily (aka Em) (b c.1899) and Minnie (b c.1901). They lived in Hedingham and Halstead, nr Braintree, Essex. I hope these details will be of help.

I can't find anyone on the 1901 census with those dates....I did find this though....how sure are you of the dates?
