David Report 3 May 2008 18:16

Anyone connected to Daniel Mullen (or McMillan, McMullan) c1776-, stone mason from Ireland, married Mary Millar, (c1781-1868) tambourer, from Riccarton, lived at 55 Strand Street, Kilmarnock, or McMillans 2nd Strand House? Their children were (at least) Ezekiel c1811, Charles (c1818-1886) hostler, Enoch (c1817-1857) hostler, James c1821, Francis c1823, slater, Daniel c1832 shoemaker, John c1829, hostler, and Janet (c1831-1881), dressmaker.

As far as I can see Daniel Mullen died between 1841 and 1851. Mary Mullen died aged 86 on 23rd April 1868. Her parents were Robert Millar, a factor, and Mary Morton.

In the 1851 census there is an Elizabeth McMillan aged 6 living with the family, census says daughter, but likely grand-daughter.

Any help appreciated
