Sorry I can't look at Robert's birth certificate as it is outwith the timeline for viewing on line.

I would guess that John Kennedy Fleming is Mary Jane's son from her previous marriage and that he took the surname Fleming when his morther remarried.

I'll dig around and see if I can find anything else.

John Fleming aged 33 to Mary Jane Kennedy aged 30 (widow). There is a Robert Fleming born in the same area in 1910. If you think this might be them I'll look at the certificate for you (got some spare credits)

hello, margaret yes john kennedy fleming was born 28 november 1903,but i have just taken a look at the 1930 us cencus and it says that john fleming(father)age 54 born scotland.his first marriage was at the age of 34yrs old and wife mary at time of first marriage was 30yrs old, so doing the sums1909 /1910 could be the marriage date in scotland its possible that john kennedy fleming was born abt 7yrs before marriage date and that robert fleming (their other son) born abt 1909/1910 scotland also son of john and mary. both john and mary have scotland parentage. hope not to confusing ken

Do you have any other information on John Kennedy Fleming. His birth certificate should give you the date and place of his parents marriage but there is nothing showing for him anywhere in Scotland in 1903. Did he have any other middle names.
