The Dorset Bartletts

Hi, I've been researching my family tree and I'm certain that my family are connected to the Bartletts in Dorset in particular those connected to the parish of RYME INTRINSECA. My trail reaches a tricky split with my great-great-grandmother's birth c.1847.

On her son's (my great-grandfather's) birth certificate Cecil Edward Chappell b.1883 it states his mother's full name is MARY ANN BARTLETT from Yetminster.

Also in the 1891 England Census she is shown with her husband Francis William Chappell. Her birth place states Ryme.

The problem is during my research i've found two Mary Bartletts in Ryme with the same birth date and aparently the same places. Now I know that seeing as the census states her birth place as Ryme that I should follow a family found in the 1871 and 1861 Census but census weren't always 100% accurate and she isn't recorded as Mary ANN Bartlett, just Mary. However her mother is called Ann.

I found a Mary Ann Bartlett in a work/poor house in Ryme (1871 census I think) with her father Charles Bartlett and aparently two younger brothers. I understand from research that the Bartletts are a very established family. Perhaps further back these two branches of the family are connected?

I would be grateful for any information on the Bartett family and any information on the my Mary Ann.

Thanks for reading (I know its an essay! :D )
