	Sandra, I could scream. If you had given any indication early on that you thought he had died young then I would not have looked at census. I presumed, obviously wrongly, that you had some evidence to suggest he was alive a lot later as you had asked for lookups through the census. Maureen

	That's it, Maureen, I read the smith part but couldn't see it as blacksmith or whitesmith. Never thought of goldsmith!

	1851 and 1861 in Marys St I think the occupation for William on 1851 is Goldsmith Traveller

	They added an S to the name here: 1851 census 95 Mansf'd St., St. George, Shoreditch William Hy. Beards, head, (something?) traveller, born Middlesex, Not Known Sarah, wife, 25 Caroline, dau, 6 *William, son, 1 Wife & children born Shoreditch.

	I am looking for a WILLIAM THOMAS BEARD B 1850 possibly in the Shoreditch area (he was christened at St John the Baptist Shoreditch). His Father was WILLIAM HENRY and Mother SARAH ELEANOR. Would anyone be able to look for him through the census. Thank you Sandra
