Not sure at all now about Micheal.
Another family member had done some research a couple of years ago and they gave me what they had. They had elizabeth as daughter to a micheal from ireland but it was vague. another relative said they thought it was micheal too. i had found an elizabeth mohan(born abt 1888) who was one of eight to a micheal (of ireland)and matilda(of edinburgh) mohan in vaughan street mbro 1891. Ithen sent for the wedding cert and found out dad was Peter! so start again! marie

Thanks for getting back to me.
I was told by a family member that they believed their grandad was called Micheal Mohan. I know the Patrick on the cert is the right one. The certs details are as follows-
Patrick Fox, 21 years, bachelor, iron worker, 3 lawson st m'bro,Thomas Fox, iron works labourer. Elizabeth Mohan, 21 years, spinster, no profession, 43 Lawson st m'bro, Peter Mohan (deceased), General labourer. Witnesses were James Fox and Ellen Conners on 7/4/1902 at St Mary's Cathedral.

it might help if we knew what real facts you have and what was unexpected about the marriage certificate.

How about more details from the cert...Patrick's occupation and age (sometimes 21 was entered meaning parties were of 'full age') Any obvious family members as witnesses?

Hello, can someone help me please?

I have the marriage cert for elizabeth mohan and patrick fox. Her father is peter mohan, a general labourer, residing 43 lawson st. middlesbrough. He is deceased. Elizabeth is 21 years old when she married in april 1902. On recieving the cert I now know that info I was working on was wrong and I cant seem to find anything on either of these two at all. Dont know where they were born or anything. IF anyone can shed any light then would be very grateful indeed.
