Yeh, I'd double check what I came up with but it looks very promising. And if it's all right I'll be amazed because a lot of it was guess work which fitted in to the info you gave us.

Ok, the info i've found isn't in the correct order and I've found some more so I'll summarise now:

Elias Ingram born c1715 married Elisabeth (Unknown) c1740 they had what looks like 4 children

Elizabeth - christened 26/7/1741
Elias - born c1741 christened 29/9/1743
George - christened 14/7/1745

Elias jnr married Ann Carter 7/12/1767 in the cathedral in Salisbury, Wiltshire. They had:

(possibly before they got married) Esther - christened 10/1/1767
Etty - Christened 11/1/1769

John - Christened 3/4/1774
Moses - Christened 16/8/1777
Anne - Christened 2/12/1779
Elizabeth - Christened 9/12/1781
Aaron - Christened 24/10/1784

Aaron Ingram married Sarah Strangemore (possibly born Sally Strangemore to Richard and Mary Strangemore christened 24/5/1789 in Port Sea, Hampshire but I havent really looked into this one). Their marriage was 24/4/1807 in Damersham, Wiltshire. They had:

Elias - c1809

To me it looks like Elias in the 1881 census could be the son of Aaron Ingram and Sarah Strangemore born c1809

There doesnt appear to be a full record of Elias and Elisabeth's marriage (not that I can find anyway) but I've got you back 100 years (presuming it's all correct anyway but it seems to all fit in)

It looks like Aaron may have remarried. Look at the 1851 census. Cranbourne. Coincidence?

ChristinaS

ChristinaS Report 11 Apr 2008 18:12

I'm sure Jenna above must be right, as on the 1851 census James Ingram (married to Rhoda) was born in Cranborne. In 1841 he is working in Southampton.
