Hi,
I'm looking for any connection to the above person who was a brother of Edward Nelson Ellis born abt 1890 West Horndon, also brother of Alice & Charlotte (known as Nancy), there may have been another brother Harold but I can't be certain.
Parents of Frederick Arthur Ellis were Nelson Ellis & Mary Ann Ward.
Relatives remember visiting an Ellis family in Rustington, Nr Littlehampton, I think the name of the house was "Robins Dawn". My grandfather joined the Royal
Navy in 1908 and eventually settled in Swansea South Wales U.K.
Fred may have married 2 or 3 times, Lily was one wife mentioned and children Raymond, Josephine & Mary - apologies if the information is not quite correct but a cousin passed on the info to me, she also said that Fred died around about 1983 in Romford, but again I can't be sure of this.
I'd really love to hear from anyone that's connected to this family as at the moment we know very little about them. My grandfather Edward Nelson Ellis died in 1963 and his wife Elizabeth , known to everyone in the family as Lizzie died 1985, long before I started my family history research.
My grandfather Edward Nelson Ellis married Elizabeth Maria Gaylor 1915 in Swansea their children are daughters Lily & Daisy & sons Edward Nelson (my father) and Clive Ellis.
I do hope this information is of some help, if these names are not familiar to you then ask your parents or grandparents, aunties , uncles etc. The reason I say this is that not everyone talks about their families. My husband was 35 when he knew that both his grandfathers were from Yorkshire and that's only because I asked his parents where their parents were from!!
Thanks for taking the time to read this, if you want to know more please get in touch

Best Wishes Yvonne Hills (formerly Ellis)
