Member Since: March 2008 Posts: 160 Send Message	Hello Have hit a bit of a brickwall with some of my ancestors and hope you can help. My gggrandfather was Charles Wild, born Sheffield c1823. He was married to Harriet born c1824. Amongst the children they had is one William Wild born c1845 in North America. After searching the web and finding ship passenger lists it seems he went to New York in 1843 with his wife and siblings and also parents Ebenezer Wild c 1796 and Harriet c 1801. I have found Ebenezer and Harriet on various census' out there up to 1870(but not 1860). However i cannot find Charles once they are there? They must have come home at some point cause they are living back in Sheffield in the 1861 census but for 1850/51 i can't find anything in the UK or US. I can find Harriet in the 1851 census in Williamsburg, NY but she appears to be living with Mark, Charles brother. This is unless i have it completely wrong and Harriet wasn't his wife but sister or something. Saying that he is living with Harriet in 1861 and 71 in Sheffield. Can anyone help??? Thanks Cath x
