Trying to find the Birth and Marriage of my 3x Gt Grandfather Cornelius Hossington. I do not know his wife's name or if he had any other children apart from my Gt Gt Grandmother Mary (born c.1822)
From his death certificate I know he died as the result of accidental drowning 7/2/1856 at Newton Nottage, Porthcawl. The informant was the Coroner. From the age on the certificate he was born c.1781, place unknown.
His daughter Mary's marriage certificate shows him as a sailor which may account for not being able to find him on a census.
Census returns give Mary's place of birth as Bristol.
