Male Edmonds died around 1885

My g grandmother (Hannah Egerton) was illegitimate. However, I have reason to believe that her father's surname was Edmonds, and that he died around 1885. He was possibly a sailor with links to the Newcastle upon Tyne area.

Does anyone have a male Edmonds in their tree, who died around that time? He would be around 25 years of age.
