Trying to find any information on Robert Jamieson Buchanan who was born in Dundee in 1881, He grew up in Glasgow before emigrating to South Africa in 1924. He died in Port Elizabeth in 1950.

He had two sisters: Elizabeth Jamieson (nee Buchanan) who lived in Bulawayo, now Zimbabwe; and Margaret Buchanan who married John Black Nicol from Tillicoultry - they emigrated to South Africa about 1897 and lived either in the Cape or East London.

Robert's daughter Mary b.1914 went out to South Africa with him in 1924. She grew up in Johanesburg and married another Robert (surname unknown) abt 1939. They had a son Michael and daughter Barbara.

Robert's son, James b. Glasgow 1905 eventually moved to South Africa where he was married and had children.
