My grandmother was Hiedra Josefina Chapman, born on 14/12/1914 in Uruguay. Her mother was from the Perthshire in Scotland, however, my grandmother was raised by the Family Hawkes (Charles and Amy). I have no idea what happened. I am trying to find any clues or records on her past. Of course with this little information it will be hard, however, it dawned on me that not many women named Chapman would have left for South America between January and June of 1914. Perhaps someone has the link i desperately seek. |
