	She might have changed his birth cert but she couldn't have changed the original entry in the register.

Member Since: April 2003 Posts: 86 Send Message	I have been looking for records of my grandfather, who doesnt seem to have his birth registered. When I was a child, he told me his mother had changed his birth certificate to prevent him going to war, how true this is I dont know, but I can only find his marriage and death certificate. I know he was born in muswell hill approx 1902 on November 30th. His siblings are William, Lilian, Winifred,Ernest and Doris and his name is STANLEY JAMES ATTKINS. His parents are William Henry Attkins and Annie Hume. Can anyone give me any help or advice how to continue my search? Many thanks Lorraine
