Trying to find any information on John Nicholas Maughan son of Nicholas and Lucy nee Woodman. There was another son Nicholas Todd who died as a baby, and a daughter Daisy Elizabeth. Daisy was born in New Zealand and John in New South Wales Daisy in 1878 and John 1880.
They sailed for New South Wales not long after they married, but were back in england by 1880. I would like to find out why they came to Aus, and what John was doing. He took over Newbrough Lodge on the death of his father Nicholas and was there until Lucy died, He remarried a Louisa Cremor? and had another daughter Olga. Daisy married John Joseph Hall however I have not been able to find anything more on John Nicholas. Any information will help. Bev
