From Scotland to the USA

Victoria Report 6 Mar 2008 21:23

I am helping my husband research his maternal line.

So far we have located the names of several Brodie family members hailing from Scotland and eventually emigrating to the USA.

What we have so far:-

John Brodie, born c.1700 died c. 1782. Married to Martha Sclater. Children: John, Lodowick, David, Elizabeth, Alexander.

My husband is descended through the son, John (born c.1753 EDINBURGH Midlothian Scotland). We think this John possibly emigrated to the US as his son also called John was born in Granville County, North Carolina USA.

From there my husband's Brodie line end up in Texas.

If anyone has information on this line we would be very interested!

Thanks,
Victoria
