Member Since: February 2006 Posts: 7 Send Message	My Father had been in the Merchant Navy until 1930 by 1942 he was an Aircraft Fitter (this is on my birth certificate) I am trying to find where he worked at that time. He was married and living in Maidenhead Berkshire. It could have been at White Waltham airfield. I have enquired at the local library but they could not come up with anything. Obviously it was a reserved occupation and I'm interested to know whether he trained for this and where. Thank you
