a couple on the lincolnshire 1841/61/91 and a couple on the yorkshire 71/1901census.

Thanks again for the info, it's hard to believe all those Allens living in the same street, could they all be related or is it just coincidence? Eliza looks to be William's widow, I think I'll have to get a death cert. to confirm it.

Thanks again for the info, I don't have the death cert. for William, perhaps I'll have to send for it as a last resort. Can you give me the details of the Eliza Allen and daughter that you found on the 1861 census.

Both Hulatt deaths were registered according to the BMD in fact there was another one round about the same time, he was Thomas snr.'s younger brother so it doesn't appear to have been a very good time for the family. I haven't bought any of these certs. but from info that I've been given before I know that Thomas Charles is in the same plot as his Mother who died in 1921 who's cert. I do have.

they should cover the work houses .

i have had a look on the 1851 on bedford street which seem to be a few houses on there but there was no one with the last name allen
however on the 1861 census there was about 5 familys with the last name allen. the one that stood out was the one with just a mother and daughter it looks like eliza allen do you have the death cert for william in 1855 to see who registered it?
looking at the death reg for thomas hulett i noticed that thomas c hulett seemed to die the same year as his father makes you wonder what the cause of death was for both of them? and if he did not register his fathers death?

I should have told you the year Thomas Charles was born, sorry about that, it was 1867/68. The Thomas you found on the 1901 was his Father. I think the name of Thomas Charles's wife could have been Mary Elizabeth, I found a marriage that could be him in 1895.

The William Chandler at Lee St. isn't connected to me.

Do your discs cover people in the Workhouse and other institutions?

he was living at 26 alfred terrace which was just down the street from where he died
age was 56 from bedford i belive possible occ was a carpenter
his wife was sarah she was age 54 it says she was from bedford but she his down as huntington on earlyer ones
he was down as tom hulet on 1901 census
will search 1891 as soon as my disk will eject its self from my comp, lol

in 1901 the person that was living at 30 lee street was william chandlar age 42
i take it you dont have a age for thomas/thomas charles?
i will check on william allen in bedford st 1851 and61 to see if there was any other allen living there

Thank you very much for the offer, I'm trying to find Charles Thomas or Thomas Charles Hulatt/Hulett on the 1891 and 1901 census, I know when he died in 1915 his address was given as 30 Lee St.,
Also I'm trying to find a William Allen on the 1841 and 1851 census, he was born about 1819 in Leicester and when he died in 1855 he was living in Bedford St.
Another member Michelle has been trying to find him on Ancestry but the result has been a bit 'funny' so maybe your records are better, I hope so.

the person living at 9 christow st was ruth pike down as the head and being married age 26 living on her own she was from northants/piddington
