could be if this is the right Emma Hawtin. do you know if George was an Army man.

Steyning and Chichester were both in Sussex. he could have come out of the Army by 1906 and they settled in Oxford.

The onlty way to know if this is the right one is to get victorias birth cert to see who her parents were.

So Victoria could be William George Hawtin's sister?

george isnt showing but this may be Emma; she described as wife of a soldier on active service in South Africa
