My grandmother was the illegitimate daughter of Georgina Cooper 1871 - 1933 from Bathgate and a James Stewart from Partick in Glasgow. Georgina was working as a domestic servant in Glasgow and my grandmother was born in Glasgow in 1902. All I know about James Stewart is that he was a Foreman Slatelayer and according to official records he was residing at 20 Wood Street Partick Glasgow in 1905 when my grandmother changed her name to that of her stepfather. I am trying to trace this part of my family tree. Can anyone help? Thanks Nicola
