Robert McIntosh b Aberdeen 1875 son of Agnes Lamont nee McIntosh (born outside of marriage) declares his father as John Ewen Ships Carpenter deceased in 1901. Robert claimed to be the 7th son, and in turn had 7 sons himself. Can anyone help me find the right John Ewen? Agnes lived at Causewayend in Aberdeen in the 1870's and 1880's. She had 3 children that I know of all of whom have the following statement on their birth entries..Mother:"Agnes McIntosh, wife of William Ross Lamont ships carpenter who she declares is not the father of the child and further that she has had no communication with thim since,,". Roberts sister Jane married in 1906 and her marriage entry does not name a father, and I have been unable to find a marriage or death entry for his elder sister Isabella McCubben McIntosh b 1873. |
