Hi

Could anyone help me with John Albert Williams. All I know is that he is my Great Grandfather, I have been told he died on the 13/01/1939. He lived in Bermondsey London.

Does anyone know how I can track his Date of Birth or who he married. My dad can not remember his nans name.

I have been told that his nickname was the "Bacon King of Bermondsey", and that he ran off with his mistress. On searching the internet I can not find anything on him.

If I managed to get hold of his death certificate, would that tell me his parents / Wife / Children and his Date of Birth.

Sorry to ask such silly questions, but I am new at looking into my Family History.

Hi Joanne, his death cert would tell you where he died his age (roughly) occupation and who registered his death, Might be a relative but not guaranteed to be.
