David Report 31 Jan 2008 23:02

From the research I have done this particular group of the Maggs clan are all agricultural workers in and around Enford, Wiltshire. The earliest record of this I have found is 1795. This continued until the Great War when the military life become the norm, my grandfather was in the army for over 23 years. I have not yet gone any earlier than the late 18th century, so if anyone has information on the Maggs's of the Enford Wilts area, please let me know.
