Stephen BAWDEN b. 19 May 1791, Redruth, Cornwall, married Elizabeth JELBERT/GILBERT b. 18 Jun 1791 in Redruth. They had 8 children all christened in Redruth:
a. Stephen b. 6 Apr 1812; ;ch 25 Apr
b. Harriet ch 5 Mar 1815 came to US as housekeeper in Naughton, Michigan
c. Edwin ch 30 Mar 1817 came to US as miner/blacksmith in Mineral Point / Linden, Wisconsin
d. John ch 18 Apr 1819. Mentioned in father's will as being in Australia
e. Henry ch 1 Apr 1821 family note says he died in Cuba
f. Elizabeth ch 15 Mar 1823 married Michael MACCOOEY from Newry Down, (1861 Redruth census MCCOVEY), died in Redruth, father's executrix
g. Caroline ch 5 Oct 1825 married Thos VIVIAN, died in Redruth
h. Matilda ch 19 July 1830 came to US

I have no information on John after his christening date. I hope somebody in Ozzyland can direct me to resources.
