Find Ancestors

Can anyone help me to find out more information about Arthur E Saalman (born 15 Aug 1877 in New York) and his wife Nellie (born 31 Jan 1883).
I have them on the 1930 census, and also WW1 and WW2 records for Arthur, but I would really like to find them on earlier census, to see if they had any children.
Any help gratefully accepted.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for looking for me, I think this is the right family, but Arthur's mother was born in England, and his father, John was born in Germany, so the details are not quite there.
Any luck on the 1920 census? Maybe he was married by then?

Where were they residing in 1930?

On the 1930 census they were living in West Springfield, Hampden, Massachusetts.

According to the census i've shown Arthur's father was born in Germany and Arthur and his brother were born New York. I'll keep looking but if you want to see this image let me know

Joan, sorry the 1930 is under 'Saalmun', hope you are able to find it now.

Mike, this looks like a possible for the 1920, does it say whether there were any children? I know that some of the US census have a column for 'number of children', but knowing my luck this is probably the end of the line, and they didn't have any.

Susan, the 1920 census isn't coming up either--what spelling is it under.

The 1920 census that Mike has found is under the name 'Salomon' and 'Alfred' instead of Arthur, and the ages are quite a long way out, so I'm not sure about this one.
