Trying to find information on Elizabeth Thompson born Sunderland, Co. Durham around 1827. She married someone called Kay but according to the 1861 census for Sunderland was a widow living as a housekeeper to a widower with four children, William John Armstrong. Later in 1861, she had a child to William John Armstrong, and called him Joseph Armstrong. I have been unable to trace any record of a marriage between William John Armstrong and Elizabeth Kay (nee Thompson) but according to the 1881 census, Joseph was then living with his father. Any information about these two families would be appreciated. Joan Britton
