hi this is all new to me, i am trying tofind any information about my grandfather. he was born in rochdale lancs in 1866 his mothers name was mary cocker born 18dec 1832 preswich, fathers name john brierley born23 jan 1838 hollingworth . g g grandfather was thomas and g g grandmother was sophia sutcliffe, if this rings any bells i would love to hear from you.

Seems to be a lot of unrelated info confusing this thread!

Because the name he is asking about should be brearley.
1871 John and Mary with Thomas henry
Jane age 1 Chas Jas Cocker age 10 and J R Cocker 10.

Mary must have had these two before marrying John Brearley.

I would put money on that these are who they are looking for.

Julia Rachel Cocker 1858 to Egerton Cocker 1835-1864 and Mary collingwood 1832-1915 brother charles James egerton cocker born 1860.
Mary Cocker then married John Brearley in 1866 and had thomas Henry.Sarah Collingwood Brearley 1871 and francis John brearley 1877.
