My Great Grandmother was mary elizabeth Taylor she was born in wallasey Liverpool in 1860, she married Frederick Davies who was born in asterley shropshire. they married in shropshire in 1883. On the 1901 census they were living in Pitt street Audenshaw manchester. They had Aaron arthur, emily margaret, wilfred, arnold amy louisa, mary elizabeth, martha mildred, dora, bertha& Isabella may. Approx 1910 the family were living at wellington villa in taylor lane denton manchester Mary elizabeth died between1901&1913 Frederick remarried Lydia ellen arrowsmith from macclesfield 26-8-1913. It seems like years I have been trying to find her exact date of death &where she is buried. Their daughter Isabella may was alive in 1973 as I saw her name in the obitury of one of her sisters. Dora Davies married someone named leonard Slater approx 1920 they lived in wilmslow around 1934. Bertha Davies married someone named Charles Brown. There is a possibility both couples were married at st stephens church guide bridge audenshaw manchester. If anyone can help especially re mary elizabeth taylor I would be really pleased. Her family prior to her marriage were. Joseph Taylor, Margeret Taylor nee Jones, siblings. james, margaret alice, frederick joseph, & Alice I would love to here from anyone who can help. thank you Loraine |
