Hi I am trying to trace back my fathers side of the family (TAYLOR). I have been able to go back as far as my Great Great Great Grandad William Taylor born about 1817. I understand that he was a labourer from Gumley and married a Sarah Taylor in Easton Lecistershire, where there 5 children Emily, Jane, John, Mary and William were born. John was my Great Great Grandfather, born in 1845, he was a railway porter for the great eastern railway. He married Ann Harris on 25 Dec 1868 in Whitechapel. I am assuming this is when my family moved to London, they had 9 children one of whom was George William Taylor born in Whitechapel in 1869, he then married Alice Emily Flack born 1871 in Hackney. They had five children, one of whom was my grandfather John George Taylor born in London in 1912, he then married my grand mother Rose Terran (b1915). If anyone has any further details on this Taylor family please let me know via this message board. Thanks. p.s. Check out http://myweb.tiscali . c o . uk / familytree 2003 / ft / *without the spaces
