My ancestress CLAREMOND TAYLOR had my ancestor Robert Taylor illegitimately in Norwell in Notts in 1807; I have been unable to find any trace of her being born in Norwell, or Egmanton or various other likely places. According to the IGI (online), the only Claremond Taylor married John Smith in South Scarle in 1752. Does anyone have a woman of this name in their family tree? Since Claremond was presumably about 20 in 1807, I would assume she was born in in the 1780s and that Claremond Taylor Smith may have been an aunt she was named after? |
