Trying to find decendants of LILY STUBBS (otherwise known as MURRAY). Born 1896 and had daughter called ALWYN. Lived in Cowesby Street, Moss Side for while. ALWYN was based in Portsmouth during WW2 and would be approx 84 years old now

hi there, i have just received a family tree and I have a lily agnes stubbs in it who married albert dale in 1924, she was born in or around 1898. do you think this lady may be the same lady you are talking about? her father was Charles Stubbs and I believe her mother may have been Jane Poplett?

I have the family of Lily. She was born in 1894 daughter of Samuel & Agnes May, her father died in 1901 and later in 1914 her mother married Alfred James Murray.

Alwyn was not born as a Stubbs, so either Lily married or Alwyn was given the Murray name.
