I run the Stubbs one name study and have all the Stubbs records for the whole of England & Wales from the GRO indexes and all census returns.

There is no male Stubbs that married a Margarert Marsden 1837-2005. Nor is there a death for a Margaret Ann Stubbs in 1947.

There are two for a margaret Stubbs neither were born 1872 though.

One was in the area of Liverpool and she may have been the widow of Michael Stubbs and he married a Margaret Charnock.

Contact me direct if you think I can help further. If you know the names of her children, I may be able to pick them up and she could have married somebody else before she married the relevant Mr Stubbs.
