Hi,

I am trying to find out if the Steele Family of Buddylee Farm in Barthomley Cheshire are related to the Steele Family of The Walnut Tree Farm in the same village. The timings would have been from the 16th - early 19th Century. They most probably are, but I am trying to find the missing link. There is a tombstone of the Buddylee Farm family in the churchyard there inscribed with George Steele d 1722, Joseph Steele 1857 and Elizabeth Steele 30 April 1862. Richard Steele (My ancestor), was executed during the Barthomley massacre in the English Civil War along with another Richard Steele (poss his father) and a William Steele (Poss his uncle?).

Any help with regards to any of the above would be very much appreciated.

Thanks, Simon Steele
