Trying to find smith

I am trying to contact a family of Smith who lived in Guernsey after the first world war. My grandfather Arthur Jackson was in the same battalion as Mr Smith who had apparently married a Guernsey girl and remained in Guernsey after the war. My father Clifford Jackson spent every year visiting them as a child with my Grandfather and as he is in his 80's, he wonders if any of the smith children or their off spring are still alive and he knows that one or two of them came to live in England.
