Member Since: April 2003 Posts: 27 Send Message	My Gt Grandfather was William Henry Smith bc1840 in Sheffield Yorks, on his marriage certificate to Mary Levick in 1865 his age is given as 25 and his father is shown as George Smith a file cutter. I have tried1837 on line to no avail and cannot find him on either 1851 or 1861 census returns, Do any of these details match with your tree? please can you get in touch as I feel as though I am up against a brick wall! I have been searching for this mans birth for a couple of years now. many thanks Val in Poynton Chesire
